Search and Browse Engrafo

As all metadata for both the Data Catalog and Data Usage is organized neatly in an SQL database, text based search across the entire information ecosystem is both easy and fast.
To search, just click the magnifying glass at the top menu and type in what wish to find. Engrafo will automatically structure your output in data usage documentations, databases, schemas, columns and data glossary items that match.
Should you wish for a more detailed output, there are filters to limit your search. You also have the option to easily configure which metadata attributes to include in the result. As an example we want our columns to show their descriptions at search. By navigating to the template page for column fields, clicking “Edit” and then “Show at search” for the fields you wish to include, they will now appear in the results overview.
