On this page of the Engrafo Guide you will find information about:

Manually creating/editing data catalogs

It is possible to manually create a data catalog, but we do recomend that you use the Engrafo metada loader API ( Metadata and documentation load ) og a connection string to MS SQL.

Click on the item you would like to browse or add

Browsing and managing can be done like this. If you face that an item can not be deleated the reason is that the item is in use in a data usage documentation. If data is referenced in a documentation, data can not be deleted. You have to remove the references from the data usage documentation before deletion

If you want to create data catalogs entries manually, click “Create new”. Here is a sample where you can create a new table in the selected database and schema.

Manually creating/editing sample space

It is also possible to manually create sample space. Again, we do recomend that you use the metadata loader API to create sample spaces

Under “Sample space” you can create a new sample definition. Under “Elements…” you can add valuesets to a sample space definition
